Nestled in the heart of the community, 4B Constructoin was charged with the mission to create a sustainable, high-performance in-law suite, seamlessly blending family values with environmental responsibility.

Initially envisioned as a detached unit, the project faced spatial constraints and the challenge of integrating a new structure with the existing home, all while adhering to strict environmental efficiency goals.
The Solution
Innovative and Adaptive Solutions
The plan evolved into an attached in-law suite, maximizing space and efficiency. Key innovations included a full-scale energy retrofit with continuous insulation and state-of-the-art windows, alongside a creatively designed pocket barn door and a dream sunroom.

A Sustainable Dream Realized
The project culminated in a significant reduction in energy consumption, a spacious and functional in-law suite, and enhanced living spaces that resonated with the family’s aspirations. The retrofit and design solutions not only met but exceeded the family’s expectations for sustainable living.
